Philadelphia 76ers guard JJ Redick will reportedly miss Wednesday’s game against the Milwaukee Bucks with lower back tightness.

Derek Bodner of The Athletic reported the news, noting Marco Belinelli will start for the Duke product.

Redick already missed time earlier this season with a leg injury, although he was fairly durable his last three seasons with the Los Angeles Clippers, playing at least 75 games in each of them.

The Duke product is averaging 17.1 points per game behind 42 percent shooting from deep in his first season with the Sixers as a veteran leader on a team with plenty of young potential. His presence as a three-point shooter on the wing forces opposing defenders to shade his way, which opens up lanes for Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid to rack up impressive numbers as two of the primary focal points.

Redick has also continued his own offensive consistency, with this season serving as his fifth straight with at least 15.0 points a night.

Philadelphia will need others to pick up some of the scoring slack while Redick is out, and the combination of Belinelli, Dario Saric and Robert Covington figures to see additional playing time on the wing.
