AS Monaco are reportedly keeping tabs on Chelsea centre-back David Luiz and will consider an offer in the event he’s listed on the transfer market this summer.
According to the report, Luiz is “likely to want to leave” if Conte remains in charge of the west Londoners, as he’s made only 17 appearances this season amid some injury struggles.
The rocky relationship between Conte and Luiz was highlighted recently when the former admitted he wasn’t informed about a fancy dress party thrown by the defender, via Goal:

Monaco may look like an attractive option for Luiz if Conte remains at the Chelsea helm too, as the club is competing for Ligue 1 titles and has already enjoyed success in France with Paris Saint-Germain.
Leonardo Jardim has turned the French Riviera club into an enticing destination once again, and their ranks are already decorated with Brazilian talents such as Fabinho, Jemerson, Jorge and Gabriel Boschilia.
There’s tension at Stamford Bridge following what’s been a disappointing Premier League title defence, and the belief is that Luiz is liable to be sold if Conte keeps his spot.
The coach has at least provided some hope for Luiz to feature again this season as he looks to return from a series of setbacks on a knee injury that’s kept him sidelined since February 5, per Kinsella:

Conte on Luiz playing again: “I don’t know, we will see. Right now he is having training sessions after this problem in his knee. He is working hard and he is aiming to come back this season.” #CFC
Luiz will also enter the final year of his current contract this summer, and the decision could be made to cash in on his signature rather than hand another contract to a player who recently turned 31.
Conte brought Luiz back to west London in a deadline-day deal after arriving at Chelsea in 2016, and reporter Sam Elliott argued his two transfers to Chelsea don’t showcase great value:

Antonio Conte has made huge mistakes. Costa the biggest and most regrettable but David Luiz at any price (£60m) is wild. For £40m I hope they kept the receipt for the horrendous Tiemoue Bakayoko. Battles with Mourinho seem to have drained a good manager
Cesar Azpilicueta, Gary Cahill, Andreas Christensen and Antonio Rudiger all appear to be ahead of the South American in the pecking order, meaning the shores of Monaco may appeal to Luiz.
Chelsea are, like Monaco, yet to secure qualification for next season’s UEFA Champions League, but advancing into next term’s tournament could give the French giants one added advantage over the Blues.
