When the Oscar nominations were announced on Tuesday, there was the usual mix of disdain and surprise, but Barbie’s absence from some of the major categories caused the most controversy.
His Barbie received eight nominations, but Greta Gerwig missed out on Best Director and Margot Robbie was not nominated for Best Actress.
