Rachel Leviss, also known as Raquel, responded in a not-so-subtle manner to Scheana Shay’s continuous coverage of everything related to Scandoval.
On Monday, February 19, Leviss promoted the latest episode of her podcast, “Rachel Goes Rogue,” on Instagram. She shared an Instagram post that included over 30 separate clips from Shay’s podcast, “Scheananigans,” where Leviss’ affair with Tom Sandoval was mentioned.
Many fans of Vanderpump Rules commended Leviss for addressing the frequency with which Shay, who is 38 years old, talks about her and Sandoval, who is 41. In the comments section, when a social media user asked who edited the video, Leviss replied, “Guilty 🫠it’s been my passion project for the past day and a half…”
During her podcast episode on Monday, Leviss discussed the latest episode of Vanderpump Rules and specifically brought up Shay’s recollection of her own podcast conversation with Nema Vand from Shahs of Sunset. Vand had a brief romance with Leviss after her split from James Kennedy.
Leviss expressed her feelings, saying, “I just felt like that was very unnecessary. Why did Scheana need to go into all the details about my personal life? Why did Nema need to go into all the details?” Leviss also mentioned that Shay was upset about the restraining order she filed against her and was encouraging their mutual friends to talk about her and share personal stories. Leviss speculated that Vand was influenced by Shay’s hype and in a state of wanting to reveal information. Leviss and Shay had a close friendship until the news broke in March 2023 about Leviss and Sandoval’s affair, which resulted in his separation from Ariana Madix. Just before the cheating scandal became public, Leviss accused Shay of physically assaulting her when she found out about the affair. As a result of Leviss obtaining a restraining order, they were unable to appear together at the season 10 reunion in May 2023. Throughout the day, they were kept 100 yards apart on the stage while production took place. Although Leviss eventually dropped the temporary restraining order, she has not been in contact with Shay and decided to leave the Bravo series before season 11. Prior to confirming her departure from the show, Leviss entered a treatment facility. She expressed difficulty in seeing Scheana and Ariana, whom she once considered friends. Leviss admitted to harboring more resentment towards Scheana and finding it challenging to look at her face. She is currently working through these emotions with therapy and hopes that with time, she will be able to change her perspective and not feel negatively when she sees Scheana.
