Lily Gladstone reveals the Oscar nomination text she received from Leonardo DiCaprio, expressing his joy for “Killers of the Flower Moon”

In a recent interview with Extra, Lily Gladstone, the actress, shared that Leonardo DiCaprio has been a tremendous supporter of hers. After she made history as the first Native American to receive a Best Actress Oscar nomination for her role in “Killers of the Flower Moon,” DiCaprio was one of the first people to reach out to her via text. Gladstone expressed how proud DiCaprio was of her accomplishment. She also mentioned that while they were celebrating her nomination, they were also collectively disappointed that DiCaprio was excluded from the Best Actor category, as many believed he deserved recognition for his incredible performance in the film. Gladstone emphasized how DiCaprio’s portrayal of an impossible character made her job as an actress much easier. She expressed her desire to share this moment with him and mentioned that DiCaprio had told her before the Globes that he thought she was amazing, regardless of the outcome. Gladstone referred to DiCaprio as “the greatest actor.” DiCaprio himself dedicated a heartfelt post to Gladstone on his Instagram account, congratulating her on her historic nomination and highlighting her recent success. In the interview, Gladstone also revealed that she had almost given up on her acting career before landing her breakthrough role. She had even considered enrolling in her mother’s old community college. Gladstone admitted that she had been contemplating a beginner-level role at the Washington Department of Agriculture to label and monitor Asian giant hornets, commonly referred to as “murder hornets.”
