Madonna, known for her aversion to dwelling on the past, has made a rare exception with her Celebration Tour. This tour commemorates her remarkable 40-year career in the music industry, showcasing her journey through captivating video clips, iconic fashion choices, a talented troupe of dancers, and a medley of her greatest hits, such as “Like a Prayer” and “Vogue.” Originally scheduled to kick off in St. Paul on July 30 of the previous year, the tour had to be postponed due to Madonna’s hospitalization in June caused by a viral infection. In order to reassure her devoted fans about her current state of mind, she has included Gloria Gaynor’s empowering anthem “I Will Survive” in her set list. (Scheduled for 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday at the Xcel Energy Center, located at 199 W. Kellogg Blvd., St. Paul, tickets range from $110 to $1,800 and can be purchased at ticketmaster.com)

Alison Mosshart, whether performing alongside Jack White in the Dead Weather or her longtime collaborator Jamie Hince in the Kills, has consistently delivered electrifying rock performances at First Ave over the past two decades. As a frontwoman, she excels in every aspect, from her smoky vocals to her fiery stage presence. Anticipation is high for her highly anticipated reunion with Hince, and it seems that their first album in seven years, “God Games,” will not disappoint. This sonic masterpiece is a blend of high-energy rock anthems and captivating, seductive slow jams that still pack a powerful punch. Don’t miss their performance at First Avenue on Monday at 8 p.m. Tickets are available at axs.com for $43. CHRIS RIEMENSCHNEIDER.

Bob Marley Commemorated
In commemoration of Bob Marley’s birthday, the 31st annual Twin Cities tribute to the legendary reggae musician is set to take place. Unlike the new Hollywood biopic released on Valentine’s Day titled “One Love,” this event does not rely on any Hollywood hype to bring significance or momentum. Year after year, it proves to be an exhilarating experience, featuring Jamaican transplant Lynval Jackson, his talented band the International Reggae All Stars, and their Tanzanian friend Innocent. Together, they guide the winter-bound Minnesotans through Marley’s beloved hits and a collection of spiritually and topically rich album tracks. While the film pays tribute to the late artist, these performances truly celebrate the enduring power of his music. (8:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Hook & Ladder Theater, 3010 Minnehaha Av. S., Minneapolis, tickets range from $20 to $25, $30 for a two-day pass, available at thehookmpls.com)
