Five people are up for Academy Awards for The Holdover

The nominations for the 96th Academy Awards were announced this morning, with The Holdovers, directed by Alexander Payne and written by David Heminson, receiving five nominations.

This title was nominated for Best Picture, Paul Giamatti was nominated for Best Actor, Davine Joy Randolph was nominated for Best Supporting Actress, Heminson was nominated for Best Original Screenplay, and Kevin Tent (ACE) was nominated for Best Film Editing.
Mr. Giamatti said of his nomination: It is a great honor to be recognized by the Academy in this way. And it’s an incredible thrill to be part of such a great Hollywood tradition. ” I’m so happy for this beautiful film, the entire cast and amazing crew, the amazing people at Focus, producer Mark Johnson, screenwriter David Heminson, and my Holdovers family, Davin and Dominic. Alexander Payne was a great friend and collaborator. I will be forever grateful for giving me a role that every actor would love to play.
